Class on the Chesapeake (Part 2)

One biology professor prefers a hand on approach.

By: Bora Ersoy

Montgomery College-Germantown students of Biology 111 and Biology 108 on April 15-16 packed their bags and headed southeast to Solomon’s Island for a very special field trip on the Chesapeake Bay.  The weather was perfect, the waters were calm, and everybody was anxious to set sail on the marine biology research vessel The Rachel Carson, named for the founder of the environmental movement. We here at The Globe were invited to document the experience. We also want to thank Professor  E. Esat Atikkan for allowing us to join his students. Please enjoy the video.
