World Autism Awareness Day
Officially World Autism Awareness Day falls on April 2 of each year. April is World Autism Awareness Month. This year Student Life and the Autism Awareness Club at Montgomery College held a successful event on April 2 to spread awareness around campus about Autism. The official color for Autism is blue so wearing blue was one way to show support. The idea to spread awareness came from the largest and most well-known non-profit agency that does research on Autism and is the main reason why there are clubs at colleges to spread awareness even more.
The April 2 events were called “Light It Up Blue” and had cake, information and a shirt pin made by student life. No cake or pins were left over.
