14th Annual Heroes Celebration

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) held their 14th Annual Heroes Celebration on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at the Bethesda Marriott. Montgomery College NAMI club members attended this event along with the community.

Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Representative of Maryland’s 8th District; Arthur Wallenstein, Director of the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, and Doug Duncan, Former County Executive, were honored during the celebration.

Guests enjoyed a live and silent auction, a performance by singer Kristina Granados, music by DJ Jared Rosen and a balloon raffle.

Channel 9 News reporter Bruce Leshan served as emcee for the event as well.
