Today, Myoung-Won Kwon, a Korean calligrapher, visited the Montgomery College Germantown campus and wrote, “Writing is a mirror of the mind” on a 15′ long scroll of paper in Korean to celebrate the National Day of Writing, which was actually Sunday, October 20. This was one of the ways that the Writing Center celebrated the National Day of Writing; other events were held last week.

Mr. Kwon has performed for the Smithsonian and the Library of Congress. Kwon was accompanied by his son who also acted as his translator.
